Advantages of small farms
I realized from a small age that nobody should have control over my ability to live, that is what i want to move away from corporations that control my food supply. I find it almost disgusting that the most significant items in our existence such as water is controlled by organizations. The only thing that can stop this epidemic is using heirloom seeds to ensure our freedom. What seperates organic heirloom seeds from regular GMO seeds is that they can reproduce fruit and vegetables for years. The big difference between non-gmo and gmo seeds is that non-gmo will last forever and keep replenishing your garden. Usually when you buy a watermelon from the store, it carries GMO seeds, which generally means that it can never be replanted and grown into more fruit but with this other type of seed it is very possible to keep bearing fruit for years to come and that is a true sense of independence.
