Interesting Questions to 1-Ink Customer Support

The best place on the internet to find replacement ink and toner cartridges for printers at great prices, also has terrific customer service. Here are two common requests received at the 1-Ink Customer Support Desk.

The Ink Cartridge In The Package Looks Larger
Some in cartridges have a protective plastic clip that is the same color as the cartridge. It is an L-shaped clip which makes the cartridge refill appear to be larger than the original one. Simply open the package and slide the protective clip off of the printer ink cartridge. You should notice the new cartridge is now the same size as the original.

Printer Ink Cartridge Shows Empty
Anything is possible, except receiving an empty cartridge refill. (Unless human error is involved, which would put us back to the first part of the previous sentence.)

The most likely reason the printer ink cartridge reads “Empty” is that it is not properly seated. Remove the cartridge then place it over the holder and let it find its own way into the socket by allowing it to “drop” into place. Then, wiggle the cartridge slightly as you gently push it the rest of the way into the holder. Snap the lock into place.

The level of the printer ink cartridge is not measured by in any way. The printer software remembers the number of pages that have been printed since the cartridge was installed and shows the user an ESTIMATE of the ink remaining. If cartridge printer ink still shows “Empty” it is because the printer utility software has not reset since the replacement of the new cartridge.
