Denon has just released a new group of home theater receivers in the second half of 2010, two of which are the Denon AVR-1611 and the Denon AVR-2311CI. The former is targeted at the newly initiated while the latter is meant for more experienced users.
The Denon AVR 1611 uses cutting edge Audyssey technology to ensure top audio fidelity. With its Dynamic Volume, large variations in the volume level throughout your home theater experience are minimized. Audyssey MultEQ also ensures that setting up the receiver is a breeze, as it automatically calibrates the system once you plug in the setup mic.
The Denon AVR-2311CI also incorporates the same Audyssey technology. What differentiates this receiver from the previous one is that the AVR-2311CI has more HDMI ports, saving you the hassle of constantly changing the cables. Furthermore, it also can receive HD Radio signals, allowing you to enjoy quality music from your favorite radio stations. For more information, read the full Denon AVR-2311CI review here.
The Denon DBP-4010UDCI Blu-Ray player will play all the discs in your music and video collection, including Blu-ray, DVD-Video, DVD-Audio, Super Audio CD and music CD, along with Kodak and Fuji picture discs. It also features i/p upconversion and precision video scaling along with SD and HD digital video noise reduction and multi-cadence detection, along with a full suite of picture adjustment controls for optimum image clarity. Just under $2000, it is certainly a value buy.
The Denon DBP-2010CI Blu-Ray player is a mid-range player surprises with an interesting set of features. Its support for BD-Live is one of the most interesting because it allows viewers to enjoy the full length of any Blu-ray title and access the internet content as well. There is an Ethernet port located on the back so that it can download the data online to any SD memory card that is inserted in the front of the player. Keep in mind that there is no USB 2.0 terminal in this particular model so an SD memory card is a must when accessing web content. Since it maintains the Profile 2.0 specification, Bonus View features can be accessed as well. At a price of $699, this player is a suitable model for consumers seeking a cheaper alternative to the Denon DBP-4010UDCI Blu-Ray player.
