Vintage Costumes, Cigarette Girl Costume

Posted by Max on Friday, 16 September, 2011

Travel back in time to the 1940′s. World War II was raging in the Pacific. All of the young men were in the service of our country. What about the girls? There were nurses who dedicated their lives to the war effort too. Think how cute a white sailor outfit would look on a girl.

Great vintage costumes or a cigarette girl costume would be perfect for Halloween.

The crisp white top, with a little blue sailor tie. the square sailor collar on the back with two small red anchor appliques on it. Make the top into a mini dress instead and it would be darling with high heels. I don’t think there were sailor girls fighting in the war.

There were only nurses on the hospital ship. There were girls waiting back home, helping with the war effort. They were working in the USO clubs. That would make a good pin up girl picture! The pin ups helped keep our fighting boys morals up.

Relive the Dancing under the Disco Lights in your ABBA outfits

Halloween is definitely one of the holidays each year that many people look forward to. It is generally linked to the dead and undead and you may possibly come across terrifying props on almost every property. Most people is thrilled for the costume parties they will likely be joining and parents along with young children are very busy searching for the right outfit to put on this year.

This year, for some reason, I want to be something from the old times. And so, I went in search of ABBA outfits. Most of these products are really hard to come across on the shops so I proceeded to go on line and searched for it. I was intending of becoming a Dancing Queen!

Certainly, I actually stumbled upon one as well as other costumes. When I found these cool 70s clothes, I cannot resist but purchase one considering the fact that they look so groovy and they remind me of the disco lights and dancing tunes.

Well, organizing for Halloween night always help make individuals come together. Kids help in carving the pumpkins along with suspending the Halloween night props. I actually cannot wait around for the 31st of October!

The most common shapes of a fashion scarf is square and rectangle although other shapes have been seen. Winter scarves are usually made of durable, warm material and are longer whereas fashion scarves are usually shorter and made of any material from cotton to silk. Becksondergaard purses and handbags are also great accessories to go with them.

Scarf clips help you secure a scarf while adding detail to it. Simple knots can also secure your scarf and help give it a look as well. Tying a knot behind your neck and allowing the scarf to rest over your shoulders can make an excellent statement with many low cut or v-neck shirts.
