The festival for ghosts and ghouls
Halloween is an annual event that takes place on 31st October. It is mostly celebrated in the Western world and its significance and traditions vary from place to place. Halloween is celebrated on the evening preceding All Hallows day, which commemorates all those who have attained beatific vision in Heaven according to the Roman Catholic church. Although its origins are pleasant, this specific day is marked by everything horrific and evil. People dress up as monsters, witches, and other evil entities and engage in activities such as watching horror movies, telling scary stories and playing scary pranks. Children enjoy this day by dressing up in their costumes and collecting candy from door to door. This activity is called trick-or-treating.
