The Right and Wrong way to Clean Hardwood Floors

Are you in love with wooden flooring but have been put off by the sceptics who complain about how difficult it is to keep hardwood floors looking good? You’re not alone yet it’s somewhat of a myth that wooden floors are a pain in the backside when it comes to keeping them looking clean and fresh. Just think about those homes in Asia where at least one room in the building is wood. The always look so beautiful. Of course, it helps that Asians in general wouldn’t dream of walking across any floors in their home wearing shoes or boots. Even so, there is no big secret to keeping floors clean so what’s the issue with we in the West?

There are no Instruction Books

The main problem is that there are no guides or instruction books that come with a new floor installation. After the floors are laid, home owners are pretty much left to their own devices and so when it’s time for that first clean, out comes the bucket and mop, and in its wake are the dry streaks this method leaves behind.

Not all woods are the same, but the methods used to clean them are reasonably similar. It’s all about the technique, tools, and what you put into the water that either has the job done in a jiffy, or leaves people wondering why they can’t get a clean looking surface.

The Solution?

The solution is oh so simple. Just go online, look for an article or video offering advice on your specific floor type, and before you know it you’ll be wondering what all the fuss was and why you had so many questions on how to clean hardwood floors. ,Once you know how, you will be loving your beautiful wooden floors as if they’d just been laid.
